gu zhu valley and gu zhi zi sun tea
Seven Cups have an amazing blog; it’s informative, interesting and always something I’ll go back to. The images above are of the Gu Zhu Valley, from this post on Gu Zhu valley region. This region has a really cool place in tea culture as “it was the place where Lu Yu managed the Emperor’s tea factory during the Tang Dynasty. He did so for twenty years while he wrote the first book about tea and tea culture.”*
The tea what was made in this factory was called Gu Zhi Zi Sun; the Changxing government have since built a museum quality replica of this original tea factory and today this tea is still produced – a part of living tea history.
