tea photography: travelling teadom with sriparna ghosh

This photo is from one of my favourite photographers, Sriparna Ghosh of the tea and photography site Travelling Teadom. I asked Sriparna to say a few words, explaining the story behind this photo.

This photo was taken while I was in a quaint wooden lodge overlooking snow peaks, in the middle of winter, more than 1100 kms away from home.  Just the thought of that location is enough to energise me. Here I am sitting at home in Delhi in the middle of summer, getting a little fried with no sign of monsoon.

And I think it is quite impossible to explain what really happened when I look at this photo, the memory of that time and place makes me hungrily look forward to a personal tea-party on any small elevated piece of earth, preferably with a little snow on top, sometime soon.

Sriparna was also recently interviewed for the Indian Express Delhi, about her website and photography, you can read the interview here.
